CHAPTER
25.
AN ACT to authorise the George's Creek Coal and Iron
company to increase the amount of capital stock
thereof.

Authority to
increase capital
stock.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the George's Creek Coal and
Iron company, be and it is hereby authorised and empowered
to increase the capital stock of said company
to an amount not exceeding two hundred and fifty
thousand dollars, in addition to its present capital stock,
such additional stock to be divided into shares of one
hundred dollars each.

Authority
to
dispose of additional
stock.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That the said company
be and it is hereby authorised to sell and dispose of the
said additional stock, at such times and in such manner
as the interest of the said company may require, the
proceeds thereof to form part of the capital stock of
said company.

Rights and
privileges.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted,
That the holders of the
said additional stock shall be entitled to all the rights
and privileges of original stockholders.
|
Vacancies.
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted,
That the directors of the
said company shall have authority from time to time to
fill any vacancy or vacancies that may happen in the
board of directors, by the election of a suitable person
or persons, who shall serve until the next general election
of directors as provided for by the present charter
of the company.

Consent to
travel.

SEC. 5. And
be it enacted, That it shall not be
lawful for any other company or persons to travel upon,
or use the rail road of the said company, or to transport
persons, merchandise, produce or property of any description
whatsoever, along said road, without the license
or consent of said company; Provided, that the said
company shall supply sufficient motive power for the
