which he was commissioner, to act in his place, and
the person so to be appointed shall have the same power
and authority as are vested in the commissioner in
whose stead he shall be appointed as aforesaid.

     SEC. 4.  And be it enacted, That the county commissioners
of Prince George's county, and the county
commissioners of Anne Arundel county, are hereby
authorised and required to levy a sum of money not
exceeding one hundred and twenty-five dollars each,
on the assessable property to their respective counties,
at the time of levying their next county or annual levy,
together with the commission for reducing the same,
which said sums shall be made, levied and paid to a
majority of the commissioners appointed by this act or
to their order, as soon as the same shall become payable
and collected by law.
     Authority to
levy.
     SEC. 5.  And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
or a majority of them, shall render to the
county commissioners of their respective counties at their
meeting next after the expenditure of the said money,
a true, full and fair account of all money by them laid
out and expended by virtue of this act, in repairing
said bridge and the said county commissioners in their
respective counties shall make such compensation to
said commissioners as they in their judgment may think
proper.
     Account to
be rendered.
     SEC. 6.  And be it enacted, That this act shall be
in force from and after its passage.

                           CHAPTER 172.

AN ACT to empower the Judge of the Circuit Court
     for Somerset County, to cause a panel of jurors to be
     summoned to attend the January and July terms of
     said court.

13, 1853.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the judge of the Circuit court for
Somerset county, be, and he is hereby authorised and
empowered whenever in his judgment the same may
be expedient for the despatch of business in said court,
to order and direct the clerk of said court to issue to the
sheriff of said county, a writ of venire facias, commanding
     Authority to
issue writ.
