                           CHAPTER 142.

AN ACT to amend an act entitled, an act to incorporate
     the Sam's Creek Rail Road Company, passed at
     December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-one,
     chapter three hundred.
Act amended.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the act entitled, an act to incorporate
the Sam's Creek rail road company, passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chapter
three hundred, which provides for the construction
of a rail road from some eligible point on the Baltimore
and Ohio rail road, to the valley of Sam's Creek
or Pipe Creek, near the junction of Sam's Creek therewith,
and thence to the Pennsylvania line, be, and the
same is hereby so far amended, that in the places of
James Hood, of John, William Shipley, of Robert,
Alexander Warfield, John Dudderar, William Gaither,
Evan McKinstry, John Kinzer, Senior, Henry
Waesche, Abraham Null and John Stoner, junior, who
were appointed commissioners in and by the first section
of said act, and are since deceased, the following
named persons, namely:  Joshua C. Gist, Joshua Warfield,
Samuel Ecker, James Pearre, Henry C. Gaither,
Samuel McKinstry, Christian Correll, Francis S.
Jones, Israel Rhinehart and John Kinzer, junior, be,
and they are hereby appointed commissioners, and the
said commissioners, now appointed, together with the
surviving commissioners named in said act, shall
have power and authority to carry the same into effect,
in like manner, and as fully in all respects as if they
had been originally named in said act.
In force.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
