partiality or prejudice, and in the event of the death

refusal to act, of either of the said commissioners, the
county commissioners shall appoint one or more persons
to fill any vacancy or vacancies thus occurring.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted,
That previous to the
survey of said road, at least ten days notice in the newspaper
printed in Kent county, shall be given of the
time of such survey.

AN ACT to make valid a deed from John W. Ratcliffe
and Margaret Ratcliffe, his wife, to Lewis Barrett.

Deed made
valid.
|
Be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland,
That the deed from John W. Ratcliffe and Margaret
Ratcliffe, his wife, to Lewis Barrett, executed on
the twenty-eighth day of December, one thousand eight
hundred and fifty, and recorded on the twenty-eighth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-one,
in Liber S. T. S., number five, folios two hundred
and seventy-four and two hundred and seventy-five,
one of the land records of Montgomery county,
and acknowledged before two justices of the Peace, in
and for Washington county, District of Columbia, be,
and the same is hereby confirmed, and made as valid
and effectual in law, as if the said deed had been duly
acknowledged before the Chief Judge of the Circuit
Court of the United States, for Washington county, in
the District of Columbia, and his official character had
been duly certified thereto.
