the let, hindrance, molestation, interference or consent of her
husband, in as full and ample a manner, as if she were a feme sole,
and may in her own name, sue and be sued at law and in equity,
in the same manner as if she were a feme sole.

Guardianship.     3.  And be it enacted, That the said Mahaly Cooper be, and
she is hereby declared to be entitled to the custody and guardianship
of her children during their minority without the molestation,
let, hindrance, interference or consent of the said
William A. Cooper.

                                            CHAPTER 76.

An act to divorce Susannah Macubbin, and her husband Moses Maccubbin,
                                       of the city of Baltimore.

Divorce.     Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said Susannah Macubbin be, and she is hereby divorced
from bed, board, and mutual cohabitation with her husband,
Moses Macubbin.
    Claim annulled.     2.  And be it enacted, That the said Moses Macubbin shall
not by virtue of his marriage with the said Susannah Macubbin,
be authorised to have or claim any right or interest in the
estate, real personal and mixed of the said Susannah Macubbin
to be by her acquired after the passage of this act.
    Capability 
granted.
    3.  And be it enacted, That the said Susannah Macubbin shall
be, and she is hereby declared capable to have, hold, take, receive,
sue for and recover, by compromise, suit or suits in law
or equity, property of any kind whatever, real, personal, or mixed,
in as full and ample a manner as if she were a feme sole; and
to use and enjoy or dispose of the same, at her will and pleasure,
and may in her own name sue and be sued, as if she were a feme
sole.

                                            CHAPTER 77.

An act to provide a place for the safe keeping of the Records of Somerset
                                                county.

Purchase banking
house &c
lot.
    Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the justices of the levy court of Somerset county, are hereby
authorised and empowered to purchase the late banking,
house of the Bank of Somerset, in the town of Princess Ann,
for the purpose of depositing and keeping therein, the records of
Somerset county; and also, to purchase the lot on which said
house is situated, and the other out houses on said lot:  Provided,
The whole of said property can be purchased for a sum not
exceeding three thousand dollars:  And provided also, That said
justices shall be of opinion, that a good and sufficient title to
the said property can be made by the vendors.
