Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
the new protestant episcopal church in the village of Berlin in
Worcester parish in Worcester county, shall be the parish
church and hereafter it shall be lawful for the election of vestrymen
to be made at said new church and the meeting of the vestry
and all business of said parish shall hereafter be done at
said new church in the same manner in every respect, that it was
authorised to be done at said old church; Provided nevertheless,
That in case the convention of the protestant episcopal church,
of the Maryland dioceas shall deem it necessary to object to this
act, at their next meeting and shall notify the vestry or rector of
the parish of such objections then this act shall cease and be of
no effect. |

CHAPTER 74.
A supplement to An act, entitled, An act to lay out and make a Public
Road in Frederick county, passed at November session,
eighteen hundred
and five, chapter fifty two. |

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
Henry Schole, John Brunner, (of Jacob) and Jacob Hewck be,
and they are hereby appointed commissioners to carry into
effect, the act to which this is a supplement, and for that purpose,
they shall have all the authority and power vested by the said
original act in the commissioners therein appointed. |

CHAPTER 75.
An
act for the Relief of Mahaly Cooper, of Caroline county. |

17, 1826. |
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the interest, authority, power and control of William A.
Cooper, in, over, and to the person and property of Mahaly
Cooper his wife, shall henceforth cease and determine, and the
said William A. Cooper shall not be liable for any debts hereafter
contracted by the said Mahaly Cooper, and the said Mahaly
Cooper is hereby deprived of all claim in or to the property
of William A. Cooper. |
Control and
claim annulled. |
2. And be it enacted, That the said
Mahaly Cooper shall be,
and she is hereby declared capable to have, hold, take, receive,
sue for, and recover by compromise, suit or suits in law or
equity, property of any kind, whether real, personal, or mixed, in
as full and ample a manner, as if she were a feme sole, and
to
hold, use, and enjoy the same for her own use and benefit; and
the same to dispose of according to her will and pleasure, without |
