Frederick Free School, and to the pastor of St. John's Church,
in Fredericktown for the use of the Frederick Benevolent Female
School, taking such security from the president and directors
and pastor, as the said levy court may deem necessary,
for the faithful application of whatever sum or sums of money
may be paid to them under this act. |

draw from
treasury and
pay. |
2. And be it enacted, That the levy
court of Frederick county
shall on or before the first day of July next, draw from the treasury
of the Western Shore, the whole amount of whatever school
fund may then be remaining in said treasury to the credit and
for the use of Frederick county, (excepting appropriations to
academies) and shall annually thereafter draw from the said
treasury the amount of any fund which has been, or may hereafter
be appropriated as a school fund for said county (excepting
as before excepted) and when so received, the portion to which
the citizens of Fredericktown may be entitled, shall be distributed
in equal shares to the president and directors of the said
Frederick Free School, and to the pastor of Saint John's church,
or his successor, under the restrictions and limitations herein
before mentioned. |

3. And be it enacted, That if at any
time hereafter, either of
the schools before mentioned, shall have a less number than fifty
pupils, for the term of six months in succession, then the said
donation shall cease and determine so far as regards such school;
and the amount thereof shall be applied to any other free school
under the direction of the levy court. |
Disposition of
the balance. |
4. And be it enacted, That that portion
of the Frederick
County School Fund, not directed by this cat to be distributed,
shall be placed at interest by the levy court of said county, the
said court taking good and sufficient security for the payment
of the said fund and interest, or distributed in equitable shares
in the several school districts of said county, which may hereafter
be laid off (excepting the district embracing Frederick
Town,) the levy court taking care to receive good and sufficient
security for the faithful application of all such funds to the
purposes of free education. |
Treasurer
directed. |
5. And be it enacted, That the treasurer
of the Western
Shore be, and he is hereby required to pay to the order of the
levy court of Frederick county, the several sums of money directed
by this act, to be drawn for, by the said levy court. |

Preamble. |
WHEREAS, the vestry and parishioners of Worcester
parish
in Worcester county, have represented by their petition to this
general assembly that the most suitable situation for the accommodation
of the parishioners and, that a new church has been
built in the village of Berlin and that for the convenience of the |
