Upon the report of the tellers to count the vote of
the two Houses of the General Assembly, the Presi-
dent of the Senate declared that the Hon. Murray
Vandiver having received a majority of the votes of
the two houses for Treasurer of Maryland, was there-
fore duly elected as such Treasurer, and directed that
the declaration should be spread upon the Journal.

Mr. Brewington offered the following message :

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :
We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body, that when the General Assembly adjourns to-
day it stand adjourned to meet Monday, January 18th,
at 7.30, p. m.
