NIGHT SESSION.
TUESDAY, January 12th, 1904.
The Senate met at 7:30 p. m.
Prayer by Rev. Father Kautz.
Present at roll call the following Senators:
Messrs. President, Applegarth, Beasman, Betts,
Biddison, Brewington, Dashiell, Devilbiss, Foxwell,
Gadd, Gill, German, Gray, Greenwell, Kirwan, Lewis,
McCullough, Moore, Palmer, Perkins, Robinson, Roe,
Thomas, Wilson, Young—25.
The Jonrnal of Wednesday, January 6th, was read
and approved.

On motion of Mr. Perkins, seconded by Mr. Gadd,
Mr. Robinson, was selected President pro tem, to
preside during the absence of the President from the
Chair throughout the present session.

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The President laid before the Senate the report of
the Comptroller of the State.

|
The Secretary of State appeared and delivered a
message from the Executive.

ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Beasman, it was
Ordered, That L. H. Diehlman, now employed as
Indexer and Cataloguer of the State Library, be con-
stituted an employee of the Senate whose duty it shall
be to act as a Library Clerk to the Senate, and be
present at the State Library at all times which shall
toe necessary for the convenience of the Senators.
Which order was adopted.
