ticle 1 of the Constitution of this State, and to provide
for the submission of said amendment to the qualified
voters of this State for adoption or rejection."
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Constitutional Amendments.

A bill entitled "An Act to add five new sections to
Article 55 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, tide 'License;' sub-title, 'Penalties,' to
follow section 85 of said article, and to be designated
as sections 85 A, 85 B, 85 C, 85 D, and 85 E. Being
an Act to prohibit the sale, or keeping for sale, intox-
icating, spirituous, vinous or malt liquors, contrary
to law; and to provide for a confiscation of such
liquors unlawfully handled, together with the appli-
ances used in such unlawful handling."
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Temperance.
By Mr. Gill,
A bill entitled "An Act to define certain duties of
the City Surveyor, elected under section 2 of article 7
of the Constitution of Maryland, and to fix his com-
pensation therefor."
