Said bill, as amended, was read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Seibert, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably, the following bills :

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, section 236, of Article 22, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Washington
County," sub-title "Hancock."

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Burgess
and Commissioners of Hancock, Washington county
to issue bonds for improving, draining and lighting
the streets of Hancock, Washington county.

Which were read the second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Wootton, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably, the following bills :

Senate bill entitled an Act to punish misconduct at
primary elections in Montgomery county.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 80, 92
and 102, of Article 16, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Montgomery County," sub-title "Gaithers-
burg," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

With the following proposed amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Strke out all of section 102, after the word "Sec-
tion," in line 9.

Add the following as section 2 of the bill:

"Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the provisions of
sections 92 and 102, as hereinbefore amended, shall
not be operative, and the powers therein conferred
upon the Commissioners of Gaithersburg shall not be
exercised unless the qualified voters of said town
shall at the elecdon to be held on the first Monday in
May, in the year eighteen hundred and ninety-two,
ratify and confirm the same, and for this purpose at
said election, said voters shall write or print upon
their ballots the words "For the town debt," or the
words "Against the town debt;" and if a majority of
the votes cast at said election shall be for the tows
debt, the said sections 92 and 102, as hereinbefore
amended, shall become operative and of full force and
effect, but if a majority of the votes cast at said elec-
