House bill entitled an Act empowering the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to acquire certain
land in the City of Baltimore, for the purpose of ex-
tending Eutaw Square from Dolphin to Biddle streets.

Which were severally read the second time.

Mr. Pearre, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate Lonacon-
ing Lodge, No. 85, of the Independent Order of Odd
Fellows, of Lonaconing, Allegany county, Maryland.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 55 and
89, of Article 56, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Licenses," under the respective sub-titles
"Spirituous or Fermented Liquors by Retailers,
Ordinary Keepers, Oysters and Eating Houses and
Penalties," so far as the same relates to Cumberland,
and to add 14 new sections thereto, title "Allegany
County," sub-title "Intoxicating Drinks",

With, the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In line 1 of the title, strike out "55," and in lieu
thereof insert "67."

In line 2 of the title, strike out the words "spirit-
uous or fermented liquors by retailers."

In line 4 of title, strike out the words "and
vicinity."

Inline 1, of section 1, strike out the words "fifty-
five," and insert "sixty-seven."

In line 3, section 1, strike out "spirituous or fer
mented liquors by retailers."

In line 16, of section 175 A, strike out the words
"or within three miles of said corporate limits in
every direction."

In line 26, of section 175 B, strike out the words "if
said place be in said city of Cumberland."

In line 58 of section 175 C, strike out all after the
word "dollars," down to and including the words
"General Laws," in line 61.

In line 77 of section 175 C, strike out the words
"nor within three miles thereof in all directions."

In line 134 of section 175 J, strike out the words,
"or within three miles thereof in every direction.,"
