canal between Synapuxent Bay and the Atlantic
Ocean.

Which were read the second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Wirt, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably, the following bills :

Senate bill entitled an Act to transfer to the Easton
and Northern Railroad Company a sum of money ap-
propriated by chapter 303, of the Acts of 1860, to the
Elkton and Sassafras Railroad Company, &c.

With the following proposed amendments:

In preamble, strike out the last word "and," in line
4 thereof, and also strike out all of preamble after the
word "and," in line 14.

Which was adopted.

of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Cecil
County," sub-title "Birds and Game."
