ORDERS.

Mr. Evans submitted the following :

Ordered, That in consequence of the unusual amount
of printing; imposed upon the State Printer, by reason
of having to include the assessment bill in the Journal
of March 18th, they be allowed $50.00 extra compen-
sation.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

Mr. Rogers submitted the following :

Ordered by the Senate, That the Chairman of the
Committee on Claims issue his warrant in favor of
Captain T. C. B. Howard, for the sum of nine dollars,
being the amount expended by said Captain Howard
in conveying the remains of the late Senator Talbott
to Calvert county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

By Mr. Moss,

Senate bill entitled an Act to pay the County School
Commissioners of Anne Arundel county certain
moneys equitably due to said county by the State on
account of deficiencies.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

By Mr. Seibert,

Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit fast driving
or riding on or over the Highway bridge, across the
Potomac River at Hancock, Maryland, of the Hancock
Bridge Company of Washington county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Messrs.
Seibert, Newman and Wootton.

By Mr. Hayes,

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay to the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more, the assessments for benefits assessed on prop-
erty of the State of Maryland, for the opening of
Pulaski street and for benefits assessed on property
owned by the State of Maryland for the opening of
Carrollton avenue.
