House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to levy special assess-
ments upon property binding on any street, lane or
alley, and which may have been graded, paved or
curbed.

House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 4, sec-
tion 31, of the Constitution of Maryland.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments an Act entitled an Act to authorize
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore city to make
annual appropriations for the benefit of the Maryland
Industrial School for Girls, now called the "Female
House of Refuge," passed at the session of 1880.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 653 D, of Article 4, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore,"
sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," as said
section appears in chapter 343 of the Acts of 189u.

House bill entitled an Act empowering the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to acquire certain land
in the city of Baltimore, for the purpose of extending
Eutaw Square from Dolphin to Biddle street.

Which were severally read the first time, and re-
ferred to the Baltimore City Senators.

On motion by Mr. Gorter,
The Senate proceeded to the consideration of

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments new section 137, of Article 33, of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Elections," as enacted by the Acts of 1890, chapter
538:

With the pending amendment heretofore submitted'
by the Committee.

Which were considered.

Mr. Pearre submitted the following proposed:
