ORDERS.

On motion by Mr. Posey, it was

Ordered, That Senators Newman, Waters and Wil-
kinson be excused from attendance on to-day's ses-
sion of the Senate.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Gorter, the following bills,
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Gover-

nor of the State to sign, execute and acknowledge a
deed conveying to the Canton Company of Baltimore
city, any interest of the State in a lot of ground.

Senate bill entitled an Act to give and grant the
sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland, to the sale and transfer by the vestry of
St. Stephen's P. E. Church, Baltimore, of its church
buildings and property on the northeast corner of
Hanover street and Welcome alley, in Baltimore city,
to the Aushe Emunah Hebrew Congregation of Balti-
more city.

Senate bill, entitled an Act to give and grant the

-sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland, to the gift of Thomas J. Dixon and wife,
to a lot or parcel of ground in Somerset county, to
the Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church in
the Diocese of Easton, for the use of St. John's Me-
morial Church.

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
dommittee on Judicial Proceedings.

By Mr. Posey,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
'Commissioners of Charles county, in their discretion,
to pay Joseph A. Hayden a certain sum of money on
account of taxes paid in error.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
"Committee on Finance.

By Mr. Seibert,

Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing and direct-
ing the Attorney-General to furnish certain informa-
tion in regard to the property purchased by the Pro-
vince of Maryland, in 1755, and known as "Fort
Frederick."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.
