the Washington and Chesapeake Beach Railway Com-
pany.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

Senate bill entitled an Act to contract for the repav-
ing with asphalt blocks and tiles, the walks and road-
way within and around the Executive Mansion and
stable, within the city of Annapolis.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Public Buildings.

By Mr. Pearre,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 227, of Article 93, of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Tes-
tamentary Law," sub-title "Orphans' Court."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

By Mr. Smith,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 59 and 60, of Article 77, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Public Edu-
cation," sub-title "Text Books," so as to provide for
the use of text books free of cost to all the pupils of
the public schools

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Education.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact
with amendments section 39, of Article 1, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title. "Allegany County," suc-
title "County Treasurer," and to add two new sec-
tions to said Article, to follow immediately after sec-
tion 39, to be designated as "Sections 39 A and 39 B

Messrs. Pearre, Hubner and Brown.
