forfeit to the county the bond herein required to be
given, and shall also be subject for each offence to the
penalties provided in this section for other persons.

"Sec. 2. And be it enacted that this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
On motion by Mr. Pearre,

Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing and requir-
ing the County Commissioners of Allegany county to
levy a certain sum of money to J. N. Williams, for
services as Attorney to the Board of Supervisors of
Election of Allegany county.

Was considered, and referred to the Select Com-
mittee.

Mr. Pearre, from said Committee reported favorably,
with the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In the first line of the title, strike out the words
"and requiring."

In section 1, line 2, after the word "be," insert the
following: "And they are hereby."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor
to appoint four additional Notaries Public for Balti-
more city.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Baltimore City Senators.

Also, returned,

Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit persons other
than land owners bordering on said creek, from fish-
ing with seine or net of any kind within the waters of
Little Magothy Creek.

Endorsed: "Reported unfavorably by a Select Com-
mittee, and report adopted."
