Mr. Coffin submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out all after the word "ordered" down to
"Assistant Door-Keeper, " and insert the following:

"Secretary—E. E. Perkins, of Prince George's
county.

"Journal Clerk—D. E. Graves, of St. Mary's county.

"Reading Clerk—Wm. Levely, of Anne Arundel
county.

"Chief Engrossing Clerk—Frank Parren, of Calvert
county.

"Sergeant-at-Arms—Otis M, Smoot, of Charles
county.

"Door-Keeper—James E. Jackson, of St. Mary's
county. "

Which was rejected.

Mr. Toadvin presented the following:

BY THE SENATE,

January 6, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

The Senate has organized by the election of Hon.
Edward Lloyd, as President, and the appointment of
W. G. Purnell, as Secretary. We are now ready to
proceed with the business of the Session, and propose,
with the concurrence of your Honorable Body, the ap-
pointment of a joint committee of the two Houses: two
on the part of the Senate and three on the part of the
House, to wait upon the Governor and inform him that
the Legislature is prepared to receive any communi-
cations that he may be pleased to make.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Toadvin and Coffin.
