The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 6th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We nave received your message notifying this House
of the organization of the Senate, and requesting the
appointment of a Joint Committee to wait upon the
Governor and inform him that the General Assembly
is now prepared to receive any communications he
may desire to make, and this House, being organized
by the election of Hon. Murray Vandiver as Speaker,
and Carlton Shafer as Chief Clerk, we respectfully
concur.
We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs.
Sams, Collins and Bowie, of Prince George's county.

The President presented the report of Spencer C,
Jones, Clerk of the Court of Appeals, in reference to
the Legislature printing.
REPORT:
To the Honorable, the
General Assembly of Maryland:
The undersigned would respectfully report, that in
pursuance of Article 78, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland, he did advertise for ten suc-
cessive days, beginning August 31st, 1891, in the-
"Sun, " "Herald" and "German Correspondent, "
three daily newspapers published in Baltimore city,
and for three consecutive weeks in the "Maryland
Gazette" and the "Maryland Republican, " two
weekly newspapers published in the city of Annap-
olis, for sealed proposals for the printing for your
Honorable Bodies, in language following, to-wit:
PROPOSALS FOR THE STATE PRINTING.
"The undersigned, in pursuance of Article 78 of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, will re-
ceive SEALED PROPOSALS at the office of the Clerk of
