House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's countv to
employ any and all male convicts and persons com-
mitted to the county jail by the court to work on the-
roads of said county.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to-
be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr; Bennett, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 3, 4, 5,
6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16, of an Act of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January
Session, 1888, chapter 295, entitled an Act to incorpo-
rate the town of Hampstead, Carroll county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Lloyd, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 21, of the Code of Public Local Laws-
of this State, title "Talbot County," to be sub-titled
"State's Attorney."

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In section 237, line 8, strike out "two thousand dol-
lars," and insert "fifteen hundred."
