With the following proposed amendments :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out all after the words "a bill," and insert
the following :

"Entitled an Act to repeal chapter'17, of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January Session, 1892, entitled an Act to add two ad-
ditional sections to Article 27, of the Code of Public
General Laws, title 'Crimes and Punishments,' sub-
title 'Railroad Obstructing,' to follow section 231, and
to be known as 'Sections 231 A and 231 B.'

"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, that Article 17} of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session,
1892, entitled an Act to add two additional sections to
Article 27 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Crimes and Punishments,' sub-title 'Railroad Ob-
structions,' to be known as 'Sections 231A and 231 B,'
be and the same are hereby repealed.

'Sec. 2. And be it enacted that this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled an Act to add a sub-section to
section 35, of Article 26, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Courts," sub-title "Court of Appeals,"
appointing a messenger to the Court of Appeals,

With recommendation that said bill be referred to
the Committee on Finance.

So referred.

Mr. Austin, from the Committee on Temperance,
reported favorably,

, House bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified
voters of Election District No. 18, Frederick county,
to determine by ballot whether spirituous or fer-
mented liquors shall be sold in said district.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Waters, from the Committee on the Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries, reported favorably the
