the sum of one hundred and four dollars and fifty-one
cents, for money paid into the State Treasury of the
State of Maryland, in excess of the amount due by
him to the State of Maryland for taxes for the years
1886, 1887, 1888 and 1889.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact

with amendments section 77, of Article 5, of the Code

of Public General Laws, title "Appeals.and Errors,"
sub-title "Appeals in Criminal Cases."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the

Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

By Mr. Hubner,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the trustees of the Maryland Agricultural College, in
their discretion, to convey a part of the land owned
by said college.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the

Committee on Education.
By Mr. Rogers,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 94, 95,

96, 97 and 98, of Article 14, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Howard County," sub-title "Liquor
and Intoxicating Drinks," so far as the same applies
to that part of the Second Election District of Howard
county, included within the corporate limits of Elli-
cott city, and to add new sections to said Article 14 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, to follow section 98,
to be designated as "Sections 98 A, 98 B, 98 C, 98 D,

98 E, 98 F and 98 G"

Which was read the first time, and referred to Messrs.
Rogers, Moss and Robinson.

By Mr. Waters,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and require
the County Commissioners of Somerset county to have
placed and keep on the several lines to which it may
be lawful to use scoops, scrapes and dredges, or any
similar instrument to take or catch oysters in the
waters of the Annamessex, Manokin and Wicomico
rivers in said county, such buoys or other marks as
