heroes of the Revolutionary War; and whereas, they
intend as one of the means of raising the said money,
to hold-in Baltimore city, during the winters of 1892
and 1893, a bazaar and an exhibition of relics of the
said Revolutionary War; and whereas, such an ex-
hibition is not only calculated to inculcate patriotism
among the citizens of the State, but to be of great in-
terest to them; and whereas, it is desirable that the
State of Maryland should aid in such a laudable-
undertaking; therefore, be it
Resolved, That the Governor, the Comptroller and
the Commissioner of the Land Office of the State, to-
gether with William Ridgely Griffith and Dr. James
D. Iglehart, of Baltimore city, on the part of said
Society, be and are hereby fully authorized to exhibit
at the said "Bazaar and Exhibition of Relics of the
Revolutionary War," such of the battle flags of said
war, both /American and British, together with such,
other articles, letters, commissions, documents, &c.,
in the possession of the State, as they may deem best
and of interest to the citizens of this and other States
of these United States, the expenses of said exhibit to
be borne by the said Society.

Requesting the Senators and Representatives in
Congress from the State of Maryland to take action to
prevent the extension of the Washington and Western
Maryland Railroad Company, unless said charter shall
be so. amended as to prevent saict company from occu-
