The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following bills:

House bill entitled an act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 21, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of this State, title "Talbot County, " to be sub-title
"State's Attorney. "

Which was referred the first time and referred to
Messrs. Lloyd, Dawson and Brown.

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to the Code of Public Local Laws, Article 9, title
"Charles County, " sub-title "Roads and Bridges. "

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs, Posey, Wilkinson and Brown.

House bill entitled an Act to add certain sections to
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"City of Baltimore, " sub-title "Police, " to come in
after section 756, and to be designated as section 756,
756 A, 756 B, and 756 C.

House bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"City of Baltimore, " sub-title "Mayor and City Coun-
cil of Baltimore, " relating to the hours of labor of me-
chanics and laborers employed on city work.

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
Baltimore City Senators.

House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the M. J. Grove Lime Company of Frederick county,
by authorizing the said company to purchase and hold
lands in this and other States, Districts and Terri-
tories of the United States.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Newman, Seibert and Moss.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 239, of
Article 10, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Dorchester County, " sub-title "Oysters. "

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Austin, Dawson and Brown.

House bill entitled an Act to carry into effect sec-
tion 1, of Article 7, of the Constitution of Maryland,
so far as the same relates to Carroll county, and to re-
