Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act -passed
at January Session, in the year 1888, chapter 497, en-
titled an Act to provide for the destruction of eels in
the State of Maryland.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

By Mr. Brown, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 233,
234, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239 and 240, of Article 18, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Queen Anne's
County, " sub-title "Stevensville, " relating to the in-
corporation of the town of Stevensville, Queen Anne's
county.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and em-
power the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
county to appoint one additional Constable for the
Third find Sixth Election Districts jointly.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 18, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Queen Anne's
County, " sub-title "Elections, primary, " by repealing
sections 152 and 153, thereof, and re-enacting the same
with amendments, and by adding four additional sec-
tions thereto, to be numbered 153 A, 153 B. 153 C and
153 D.

Which were read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Brown, Dawson and Hepbron.

By Mr. Hubner,

Senate bill entitled an Act to give the sanction of
the Legislature to the gifts, devises and bequests to
divers charitable and religious institutions contained
in the last will and testament of Edward Power, late,
of Baltimore county, deceased, and to prevent any
failure of the testamentary purposes of the said
Edward Power by reason of uncertainty or misde-
scription as to any of the said beneficiaries.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

By Mr. Hayes,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the trustees
of the Johns Hopkins University, a corporation incor-
porated under the General Laws of Maryland, to make
and constitute the President for the time being, of its

University, and each of his successors in said office.
