Mr. Toadvin presented the memorial of A. S. Owens,
Wm. D. McWilliams and 26 other citizens of Sharp-
town District, in Wicomico county, against the repeal
of the liquor license law for said district.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Brown presented the memorial of P. H. Fedder-
man, J. T. Jump, John M. Perry, J. E. Lewis and 316
other citizens, in favor of a County Treasurer System
for Queen Anne's county, like that of Kent county.

Also, the memorial of W. H. Wilman and 45 other
citizens of Queen Anne's county, praying for au
amendment to the fish law of Chester river.

Also, the memorial of John Bishup and 21 other
itizens, praying for an amendment to the fish law,
relating to Easton Bay and its Tributaries, in Queen
Anne's county.

Which were read, and referred to Messrs. Brown,
Dawson and Hubner.

ORDERS.

On motion by Mr. Toadvin, it was
Ordered, That Senators Robinson, Smith, Newman,
Bennett and Rogers be excused from attendance to-day.

On motion by Mr. Coffin, it was
Ordered, That the Public Printer be requested to
have the Journal furnished to the Senate on Tuesday.
March 15th, up to date.

The President announced the appointment of Sen-
ator Hepbron to fill the vacancy on the Committee on
Executive Nominations, caused by the death of Sen-
ator Talbott.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

By Mr. Getty, the following:

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-
enact section 208, of Article 1, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Allegany County, " sub-title "Mine
Inspector. "

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Getty, Pearre and Coffin.
