officio of the Board of Trustees of the Johns Hopkins
University, in addition to the number of twelve
trustees of said University, now authorized by law.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Wootton, from the Committee on Agriculture
and Labor, reported unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to prevent the spread of
the yellows, a contagious disease among peach, al-
mond, apricot and nectarine trees, and to provide
means for the eradication of the same.

Which was read and adopted.

And favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to provide for the de-
struction of fruit trees in the State of Maryland, in-
fected with the disease known as the "yellows. "

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by inserting in line 2, of section 1, after the
word "keep, " the words following: "or allowed to be
and remain on his lands or premises. "
