666 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 11,

Mr. Hayes, from a Select Committee, reported said
bill favorably,

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by striking out the amendment attached to
the bill, "entitled, " "amendment proposed, " and
which reads as follows:

Amend by striking out, "and from telephone and
electric light poles, " and also inserting after these
words, when amended, the words, "and electric ail-
way poles. "

Pending which,

On motion by Mr. Evans,

Said bill was ordered to lie over.

At 9. 50 F. M.,

On motion by Mr. Wirt,
The Senate adjourned.

FRIDAY, March 11th, 1892.

Senate met at 12 M.

Prayer by Rev. Mr. Steele

Present at roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Austin, Brown, Coffin, Dawson,
Evans, Getty, Gorter, Hayes, Hepbron, Hubner, Moss,
Pearre, Posey, Toadvin, Waters, Wilkinson, Wirt,
Wootton—19.

Proceedings of yesterday's session read and ap-
proved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.

The President presented the memorial of Mrs.
Amelia Soulsby, Mrs. Emma O. Lee and 52 other ladies
of Talbot county, against the repeal of the local option
law and against license for said county.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Also, the memorial of the Baltimore Federation of
Labor in favor of the passage of the weekly pay bill.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Agriculture and Labor.
