Which was read, assented to and sent to the House
of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 20th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We propose, with the concurrence of your Hon-
orable Body, the appointment of a Joint Special Com-
mittee, to consist of five members on the part of the
House, and three members on the part of the Senate,
to visit the Legislature of Virginia, to confer with
them in relation to proper legislation for the Potomac
River and Pocomoke River and Sound.

We have named on the part of the House, Messrs.
Sams, Sterling, Combs, Ellegood and Miles.

Chief Clerk
Which was read, and,
On motion by Mr. Wilkinson,

Was referred to Committee on Chesapeake Bay and
its Tributaries.

ORDERS.

On motion by Mr. Seibert, it was
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that if
the Senator representing Washington county had
been present yesterday when the vote was taken for
United States Senator, he would have cast his vote for
Hon. Arthur P. Gorman.

On motion by Mr. Austin, it was
Ordered, That Senator Dawson be excused from this
day's session on account of sickness.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Gorter, the following bills:
Senate bill entitled an Act to add a section to
Article 93, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Testamentary Law, " to be numbered Section 5 A, to
