The bill was further considered, amendment adopted,
read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:

By THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 18th, 1892.

Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of
your Honorable Body, that the Committee of the
respective Houses on Chesapeake Bay and its Tribu-
taries, be authorized to act as a Joint Committee.

Which was read. Chief Clerk.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:

By THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 18th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body, the appointment of a Joint Select Committee to
consist of two on the part of the House and one on the
part of the Senate, to visit the Maryland Agricultural
College and the Maryland Experiment Station, and
report to the General Assembly of Maryland the con-
dition of the same, and what charges, if any, are
needed to promote the usefulness of the institutions.

We have appointed on the part of the House,
Messrs. Collins and Hill, of Prince George's.

Mr. Toadvin presented the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 18th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates;

The Senate has received your message requesting
