House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the laying of
railway tracks upon certain streets in the city of Bal-
timore without the consent of the General Assembly.

With the following proposed amendment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by inserting in the 10th line of section 1,
after the word "Avenue, " the following, "or upon
Broadway from Baltimore street, north to North
avenue, except between the streets where tracks are
now laid. "

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to provide conduits,
and to require all telegraph, telephone, electric light
or other wires to be removed from the streets, lanes
and alleys of said city.

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

1st. In the first line of the title of the bill after the
word "Mayor, " insert the words "and City Council. "

2d. And also at the end of first section add the fol-
lowing: "Provided, however, that nothing contained
in this Act shall be deemed or taken to modify or
change in any manner the provisions of ordinance
number (41) forty-one, of the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore, approved May the 9th, 1889, or the
rights and privileges granted thereby to the companies
therein, or either of them. "

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"City of Baltimore, to be known as section 806 A,
providing for the payment of money into court under
condemnation proceedings in certain cases.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Dawson, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
