House bill entitled an Act to give the Legislative
assent of the State of Maryland to the provisions of
an Act of Congress approved August 80th, 1890, and
entitled an Act to apply a portion of the proceeds of
the public lands to the more complete endowment and
support ox the colleges for the benefit of agriculture
and the mechanic arts.

With the following proposed amendments:

Insert in the fifth line of section 2, to come in before
the word "that, " the following words, "be it enacted. "

Insert in section 3, to come in before the words "be
it enacted that, " and insert in said section to come in
after the word "from, " the following word, "the date
of. "

House bill entitled an Act to refund to John H,
Gibs, late collector of State taxes for the Second Col-
lection District of Somerset county, certain moneys
paid by him into the Treasury of the State.

With the following proposed amendment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike ont after the word "and, " in line 10, section
1, the words "twenty-three dollars and eighty-seven
cents, " and insert "thirty-two dollars and thirty-four
cents. "

House Joint Resolution appointing a commission to
inquire into and report upon the Torrens System of
Registry of Land Titles.,

With the following proposed amendment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add at the close of Joint Resolution the following
words:

"Provided the said Commissioner named in the
above resolution shall serve without any compen-
sation.
