thousand dollars until an amount not less than ten.
thousand dollars shall be raised towards said monu-
ment by appropriations from the United States Gov-
ernment and the city of Baltimore, or from other
sources, and until the Governor of the State shall
certify in writing that the monument to be erected is
suitable in design and memorial of the Maryland
Patriots of the Revolutionary War. "

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate certain,
sums of money to pay the claims of the Marr Con-
struction Company of Baltimore city and the Shultz
Gas Fixture and Art Metalic Company of Baltimore
city.

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In title of the bill strike out the word "metalic, "
and insert "metal. "

In 10th line, 1st section, strike out the word "me-
talic, " and insert "metal. "

After the word "city, " in 10th line, 1st section, in-
sert "for furnishing new gas and electric fixtures
and. "

Which were adopted.

Said bill as amended, was read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for the support of the Children's Country Home
of Baltimore county.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct
the Sheriff, Justice of the Peace and other officers of
Calvert county to pay over to the Treasurer for said
county all moneys collected for fines &c.

House bill entitled an Act to pay Charles T. Rowe,
late collector of State taxes for Frederick county for
the years 1888 and 1889, a sum of money for State
taxes paid by him into the State Treasury erroneously..
