House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 618, of
the Acts of 1890, title "Justice of the Peace, " sub-
title "Criminal Jurisdiction, " so far as it applies to
Talbot county.

Which were read the second time.

Mr. Wirt, from a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 337, of
Article 8, of the Code" of Public Local Laws, title
"Cecil County, " sub-title "State's Attorney, " and re-
enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Pearre,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of,

Senate bill entitled an Act to add two new sections
to Article 1, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Allegany County, " sub-title "County Commis-
sioners, " to follow immediately after section 30, and
to be designated as sections 30 A and 30 B.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

ORDER OF THE DAY.

The hour of 1 P. M. having arrived, the Senate pro-
ceeded to the consideration of the Order of the Day,
being the Report of the Committee on Elections on
the contested election case of Bird vs. Talbott.
Which was considered.

Mr. Smith moved that said report be re-committed to
the Committee on Elections.

Mr. Pearre moved that said report be laid over,
and made the Order of the Day for Wednesday,
March 2d, at 1 P. M.

Which was determined in the negative by yeas
and nays, as follows:
