and third reading and final passage be considered.

Also by Mr. Moss, it was

Ordered, That Senators Bennett, Coffin and Woot-
ton be excused from attendance at to-day's session.

Also by Mr. Moss, it was

Ordered, That the Chief Clerk of this Senate be
directed to put a memorial page in the Journal which
shall be suitably bordered and contain the name in
full, with date of birth and death of the late lamented
J. Frank Talbott, and that the resolutions offered by
Senator Hayes, and the remarks of Senators Hayes,
Wirt, Pearre, Waters and Getty, be spread upon the
Journal of this Senate, to follow immediately after the
memorial page.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

Senate1 bill entitled an Act to repeal section 72 to
89 inclusive, of Article 22, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, entitled "Washington County, " sub-title
"Clearspring, " and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read the first time, and referred 'to
Messrs. Seibert, Newman and Moss.

By Mr. Robinson,

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claim of Rev. E. W. Wroth for stock
slaughtered at the instance and advice of the State
Veterinary Surgeon.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

By Mr. Rogers,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
section 42, of Article 77, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title "Public Education, " so as to read as
follows. "

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Education.
