Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 86, 87,
88, 89 and 90, of Article 25, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, entitled "County Commissioners, " sub-
title "Public Roads, " and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Roads and Highways.

By Mr. Waters, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and require
the repayment to James E. Dashiell, a citizen of Som-
erset county, of a certain fine illegally imposed upon
him by Wm. H. Groscup, a Justice of the Peace of the
State of Maryland, in and for Somerset county.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and require
the County Commissioners of Somerset county to levy
for and pay to the Judges of the Orphans' Court of
Somerset county the same mileage as is now allowed
to the County Commissioners by the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland.

Which were read the first time, and referred to
Messrs, Waters, Smith and Toadvin.

By Mr. Moss, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and em-
power the South Baltimore Harbor and Improvement
Company to construct and build a bridge from the
foot of Patapsco avenue to the lands of the Curtis
Bay Company, in Anne Arundel county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Moss, Hubner and Newman,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 198, of
the Acts of 1890, entitled an Act in relation to cruelty
to animals, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judicial Proceedings.

Senate bill entitled an Act giving the leave and
sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland to the
acquisition of the leasehold interest in and to a lot of
