Mr. Wirt presented the memorial of Grange No. 145,
P. of H., of Elkton, Cecil county, praying that the
State purchase an interest in the Agricultural
College.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

The President presented the memorial of Samuel
Stewart, M. N. Denny, E. T. Benson and others, for a
law to prevent the sale of cider to minors in Talbot
county.

Also the memorial of Wm. C. Stevens, J. F. Sisk
and 32 other citizens of Talbot county, in favor of the
local option law and against license.

Which were read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Toadvin presented the memorial of Thomas B.
Taylor, Wm. Howard, and 45 other citizens of Barren
Creek District, Wicomico county, for the repeal of
the fence law.

Which was read, and referred to Messrs. Toadvin,
Smith and Austin.

Also the memorial of Geo. E, Riggin, Jas. E. Bacon,
and 34 other citizens of Wicomico county, for an ap-
propriation for the support of the Maryland State
Weather Service.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.
