passed by yeas and nays, as follows:

Hayes, Wilkinson,
Hepbron, Wirt,

NEGATIVE—None.

Said resolutions were then sent to the House of Dele-
gates.

Mr, Hayes submitted the following message:

To the Honorable,

The House of Delegates:

The Senate would respectfully transmit to the House
of Delegates the accompanying report of the Joint
Committee heretofore appointed to confer with Vir-
ginia, as to the necessary concurrent legislation for
the protection of oysters, &c., in the waters of the Po-
tomac and Pocomoke, and also the Joint Resolution
of the Legislature of Virginia and communication from
the committee appointed by the Virginia Legislature
under said Joint Resolution, and also the Joint Reso-
lution just passed by the Senate of Maryland, and would
respectfully ask that said Joint Resolution, for the
reasons set forth in the accompanying report of the
Maryland committee, be at once adopted by your
body.
