House bill to authorize the Commissioners of Dor-
chester county to borrow money for the purpose of
repairing the bridge across Cambridge creek, in the
town of Cambridge, in said county.
With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out the whole of section 3, and insert the fol-
lowing in lieu thereof:
"Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners are hereby authorized and empowered
to levy annually upon the assessable property of Dor-
chester county, a tax sufficient to pay the semi annual
interest on said bonds, notes or bills obligatory by
them, issued in pursuance of this Act, and they shall
also levy, when necessary, such additional sum or
sums as may be requisite to pay the principal of said
bonds, notes or bills obligatory, as the same may
accrue when due. "
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.
And unfavorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 88 A,
of Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "Payment of
Taxes by Corporations, " and to re-enact the same with
amendments, and to add a new section thereto, to be
designated as "Section 88 B, " providing for the relief
of homestead and building associations incorporated
since the first day of January, 1890, from the pay-
ment of a bonus on their capital stock.

162, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Washington County, " sub-title "Hagerstown. "
