Senate bill en titled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments section 31, of Article 12, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Garrett County, " sub-title
"County Commissioners, " and to add two additional
sections to said Article to be designated 31 A and 31
B, relating to the election and term of service of said
County Commissioners, and the filling of any vacancy
which may occur in the same.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Getty, Austin and Dawson.

By Mr. Smith, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to aid in the purchase of free books for the
scholars of the public schools of the State of Mary-
land.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 22, of
Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "Rates and Items of
State Tax, " and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
-Committee on Finance.
