Also the memorial of James E. Dashiell, a citizen of
Somerset county, praying for the remission of a fine
illegally imposed on him by a Justice of the Peace of
the State of Maryland in and for Somerset county.

Which was read, and referred to Messrs. Waters,
Dawson and Getty.

The President presented the memorial of 100 citi-
zens of Talbot county, asking the repeal of the fish
law for said county.

Which was read, and referred to Messrs. Lloyd,
Brown and Dawson.

Mr. Toadvin presented the memorial of Robert F.
Coulbourn, Peter J. Hobbs, Rufus W. Hearn and 33
other citizens and voters of Wicomico county, for the
repeal of the Australian Ballot Law.

Also the memorial of John L. Morris, Rufus John-
son, L. B. Brittingham and 41 other citizens and
voters of Wicomico county, for the repeal of the
Australian Ballot Law.

Which were read, and referred to the Committee on
Elections.

Mr. Hubner presented the memorial of Mary E. Metz
of Baltimore county, in relation to depredations of
her property by Spring Grove Asylum

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

ORDERS.

On motion by Mr. Hayes, it was

Ordered by the Senate, That the State Librarian
furnish to each Senator for his use during the session,
one copy of the Constitution of Maryland, bound in
cloth, and recently printed under the order of the
Senate.

Also,

Ordered, That Senators Coffin, Posey, Moss and
Rogers be excused from attendance on to-day's ses-
sion of the Senate.
