spect to the memory of the Honorable J. Frank Tal-
bott, deceased, that the Senate now adjourn.

Which was read and adopted.

THURSDAY, February 25th, 1892.
Senate met at 12 M.
Prayer by Rev. Mr. McDowell.
Present at roll call the following Senators:
Messrs. President, Austin, Bennett, Brown, Daw-
son, Evans, Getty, Gorter, Hayes, Hepbron, Hubner,
Newman, Pearre, Robinson, Seibert, Smith, Toadvin,.
Waters, Wilkinson, Wirt, Wootton—21.
Proceedings of yesterday's session read and approved,

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.

Mr. Seibert, presented the memorial of Joseph A.
Shrader, Augustus Sprankle and 84 other citizens of
Washington county, praying the passage of an Act to
amend the local laws in reference to fences, so a to
apply to District No. 23.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Seibert,
Newman and Robinson.

Also,

The memorial of John T. Snyder and 41 other citi-
zens of the town of Clearspring, Washington county,
praying the repeal of sections 72 and 78, of Article
22, of the Code of Public Local Laws.

Also the memorial of P. J. Prather, John T. Peter-
man and 38 other citizens of the town of Clearspring,
Washington county, praying the Legislature not to
grant a charter for a corporation in said town.

Which were read, and referred to the Committee on
Corporations.

Mr. Waters presented the memorial of Joseph S.
Webster and 115 other citizens of Somerset county,
against the shortening of the time for catching oys-
ters.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake and its Tributaries.
