Sheriff's Fees, 799 A. The Sheriff of Baltimore city

shall hereafter receive for the services hereinafter
recited fees as follows: For serving an attachment of

contempt and return, one dollar and fifty cents; for

an arrest on warrant and return in criminal cases, one
dollar.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

ORDER OF THE DAY,

The hour of 1 P. M. having arrived, the President
announced the order of the day to be the following
bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to re-imburse the Visi-
tors of Washington College for the board and tuition
of W. T. Brown, a student from Somerset county.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
sections 1 and 2, Act of 1874, chapter 282.

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Strike out all after the titling in said Act and insert
the following:

"Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections 1 and 2, of the Acts of
1874, chapter 282, entitled an Act for the relief of
Washington College, and to appropriate money for
the same and provide for the education and board of
one scholar from each county of the Eastern Shore, be
and are hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, on the warrant of
the Comptroller, be and he is hereby authorized and
directed, in addition to the sum now annually paid to
the Visitors and Governors of Washington College, to
pay to the said Visitors and Governors the further
sum of three thousand dollars annually on and after
the first day of June in the year 1874.
