"Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That in considerations
of the sum of three thousand dollars to be paid
annually to the Visitors and Governors of Washington.
College, in addition to the sum now annually paid to
them, the said Visitors and Governors shall educate
free of charge for tuition, board, books and stationery,
nine additional students from the counties of the
Eastern Shore.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the. date of its passage.

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time, and.
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to add additional sec-
tions to Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, entitled "Frederick County, " sub-title
"Justice of the Peace and Constables. "

House bill entitled an Act to provide for the trial
by the Justice of the Peace of Election District No.
2, in Frederick county, of persons charged with
violating any of the ordinances of the Mayor and
Aldermen of Frederick city.

Which were read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Newman, Seibert and Robinson.

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Elec-
tric Light and Power Company of Baltimore county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Thomas & Evans for furnishing copies
and extracts of the election laws, under sections 138
and 160, chapter 538 of the Acts of 1890.

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claim of the Baltimore Publishing
Company, printers and stationers of Baltimore city.

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.
