Mr. Hayes presented the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 13th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of
your Honorable Body, the appointment of a joint
committee of two on the part of the Senate and three
on the part of the House, to wait upon the Judges of
the Court of Appeals to invite them to be present at
the inauguration, ceremonies of the Governor-elect.

We have named on the part of the Senate Messrs.
Hayes and Rogers.

ORDERS.
On motion by Mr. Toadvin, it was

Ordered, That a committee be appointed to wait
upon his Excellency, the Governor, and ascertain if he
desired to make any communication to the Senate.

The President appointed Messrs. Toadvin and Getty.
On motion by Mr. Posey, it was

Ordered, That Senators Wilkinson and Hubner be
excused from attendance upon to-day's session.

Senate bill entitled an Act in relation to the con-
ditional release of offenders.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 139 to 141 inclusive of
Article 27 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Crimes and Punishments, " sub-title "Health-Hours
of Labor of Children. "

Senate bill entitled an Act in relation to the adop-
tion of minor children.

Senate bill entitled an Act in relation to the sen
tences of convict minors.
