Senate bill entitled an Act to establish a Museum of

General and Natural History, to be known as the

"Maryland State Museum. "

Which was read the first time, and referred to the

Committee on Finance.

By Mr. Wirt, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money annually for the support of the Normal School
of Rising Sun, Cecil county, Maryland.

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay R. C. Mackall for expenses incurred
under an appointment made by Ms Excellency, Elihu
E. Jackson, late Governor of Maryland, as a Delegate
to the Southern Emigration Convention, held at Ashe-
ville, at North Carolina, in December, 1890.

Which were read the first time, and referred to the

Committee on Finance.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Brown, from the Committee on Judicial Pro-
-ceedings, reported favorably the following bills:
House bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction

and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland to

certain bequests contained in the last will and testa-
ment of Barbara M. Beall, late of Anne Arundel
county, deceased.

House bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction
and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland to
certain bequests and devices contained in the last will

and testament of Thos. S. Beall, late of Anne Arun-
del county, deceased.

Which were read the second time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Crimes and
Punishments, " sub-title "False Pretences. "

Which was read the second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, sec-
tion 3 and section 13, of chapter 495, of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at its Janu-
ary Session, 1892, entitled "An Act to incorporate the
