On motion by Mr. Posey, it was

Ordered, That the Librarian be requested to fur-
nish the Senate Chamber with four copies of the Code
for the use of the Senate during the session.
On motion by Mr. Wirt, it was

Ordered, That all orders for printing documents and
bills, other than those specifically enumerated in the
contract with the Public Printer, be referred to the
Committee on Printing, with instructions to report to
the Senate the expediency of printing the same and
the cost thereof.

On motion by Mr. Wirt, it was

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns, it adjourns
to meet to-morrow at 11 A. M.
On motion by Mr. Moss,

The following order laid over from Wednesday's
session:

Ordered, That F. Ogle Winchester be employed as
assistant Janitor of the Senate for this session at a
per diem of $5. 00.

Was considered, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

By Mr. Gorter, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to add sections to Article
27, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Crimes
and Punishments, " sub-title "False Pretenses, " re-
lating to frauds and false pretenses against hotel
keepers.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add new sections to

"Article 23, of the Code of Public General Laws, title

"Corporations, " sub-title "Telegraph Companies, " to

regulate the rental and use of telephones in the cities,

towns and villages in the State of Maryland.

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for the support of the Children's Country Home
of Baltimore county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.
