Code and the Acts of 1890, compiled by James W.
Owings, at a cost of one dollar, with the following
proposed amendments:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out after the word "ordered, " and insert in
lieu thereof the following: "That the Committee on
Judicial Proceedings be furnished by the State Libra-
rian with one copy of key by James W. Owings, to
the Code, not to exceed $1.

Which was considered, and
On motion by Mr. Hayes,

Was ordered to lay on the table.

Also favorably, the following:

Ordered, That the President of the Senate be and
he is hereby authorized to appoint a Carpenter for the
Senate at a per diem of $—

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Insert in blank after the dollar mark, "3, " and add
after the figure "3, " the following words, "and per-
form in addition to his duties as Carpenter such other
duties as may be required by the Senate. "

Which was adopted.

Said order, as amended, was read and adopted.

And unfavorably, the following;

Ordered, That the Superintendent of the State
House be authorized to purchase as many new chairs
as are necessary for the use of the Senate.

Which was considered.

Mr. Wilkinson moved that said order be substituted
for the unfavorable report.

Which was determined in the negative, by yeas and
