The unfavorable report was then adopted.

Also, unfavorably, the following:

Ordered, That the Superintendent of Public Build-
ings be require to furnish for each of the Committee
rooms of the State House a thermometer, and to see
that The heat does not exceed 70 degrees Fahr. unless
otherwise directed.

Which was considered.

Mr, Evans moved to substitute said order for the
unfavorable report.

Which was determined in the negative.

The unfavorable report was then adopted.

And, unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor
to employ counsel to assist the Attorney General in
the case of Maryland against West Virginia, for set-
tlement of the disputed boundary line between said
States, and appropriating a sum of money for the pay-
ment of the retaining fee of such counsel.

Which was considered.

Mr. Pearre moved to substitute the bill for the
unfavorable report.

Which was determined in the negative.

The unfavorable report was then adopted.

And favorably the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act providing that no corpo-
ration shall be dissolved by decree of any court of this
State until all taxes due the State shall be fully paid
or adjusted.

Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing the Treas-
urer to pay the personal representative of the late
John S. Gittings the amount of bonds or certificates
which the State has called for redemption and which
is claimed to be lost.
